Nirnaya Shrestha, popularly known as Nirnaya Da’ NSK (Naughty Soul Kid), is a trailblazing rapper, influential social activist, and widely admired youth icon from Nepal. He is credited with pioneering the hip-hop movement in the country, introducing rap music and urban culture to the mainstream Nepali audience in the late 1990s. Known for his lyrical originality and impactful storytelling, Nirnaya has used his music not only for entertainment but also as a powerful platform to raise awareness on social issues. Beyond the stage, he has made a lasting mark through his “Tour for Education” campaign, where he invites concertgoers to donate educational materials instead of purchasing tickets—resulting in the distribution of millions of books and stationery to children in need. His commitment to youth empowerment, education, and positive social change has earned him national and international recognition, including a Guinness World Record for his participation in a collaborative environmental song. As a mentor at Uptimaze, Nirnaya continues to inspire the younger generation to dream big, use their voice, and be a force for good in their communities.
